So, the second day of the finals and an exciting day it was. First up at Coonskin Park was the car lift which saw the ten finalists lift an impressive looking Charleston Parking Jeep weighing 335kg.

Cheered on by a massive crowd the sun shone as Mariusz Pudzianowski set the bar high with some impressive lifting. Travis Ortmayer matched him rep to rep making the competition tight.

Next up was the overhead log lift where the giant log needed to be lifted from the ground then raised overhead to an extended arm position. It proved to be a good day all round for Derek Poundstone as it seemed nothing could stop him powering and pressing out a large number of reps.

The day ended early allowing all to enjoy the fun zone and golf put on by Coonskin Park! Here’s hoping for an exciting and sunny day at the Airport and Power Park tomorrow.
