Mariusz Pudzianowski began his participation in strongman sports at the young age of 16, where he managed to bench 160kg in a bench press contest. Mariusz steadily improved in recent years, and his father, who was a weightlifting champion himself, has helped Mariusz by pushing him in the right direction. Mariusz Pudzianowski has competed in boxing and Kyokushin karate, and is also a regular favorite when it comes to national as well as international strongman competitions.
Mariusz aspires for an acting career after his strongman career is over, and has starred in a remake of Conan the Barbarian in Poland.
Unlike many of his opponents in the Worlds Strongest Man competitions, Mariusz Pudzianowski keeps his body very fit and ripped, which increases his endurance and speed, making him a favourite candidate for the first place. The Polish people are very fond of Mariusz Pudzianowski and he is considered a national hero for his many achievements in the WSM competitions.
