After settling in to their new surroundings, the athletes split into four groups today to familiarise themselves with the equipment that they will tackle throughout the competition. The atmosphere in the compound was a tense one as competitors looked to impress under the supervision of Equipment Manager; former two time World's Strongest Man Jouko Ahola, and referee Svend Karlsen, World's Strongest Man 2001. Both men were impressed by the quality of the field as there was a consistently impressive standard on display. With no clear favourite established the competition is set to be a good one. It all starts tomorrow morning on the Minehead Seafront. |
