Breakfast: 8-12 Eggs, 1 Cup of Oatmeal, Fruit

Dinner: 1lb of Beef, Pasta, fruit, Veggies
What made you want to become a strongman?
I liked watching it on tv and I was training with weights for other sports. I was intrigued and once I tried it I was hooked.
How old were you when you started training and competing in strongman? 19
What is your greatest strongman achievement?
3rd place at 2008 WSM
How do you manage to balance work and training for strongman?
I have a flexible schedule and an understanding family as well as great training partners.
What is the worst injury you have ever had?
Torn biceps tendon in March 2009
What are your plans after your strongman career?
Continue to train for fun, work in real estate and train athletes
What has been your biggest disappointment whilst training as a strongman?
Getting injured at the 2009 Arnold Strongman
What advice would you give to someone who wants to become a strongman?
Make sure you really love lifting heavy stuff and don’t mind physical pain before you really jump into it.
What is your favourite strongman event and why?
Deadlift, it’s the best test of strength.
What is you least favourite strongman event and why?
Safe lift. Not as good a strength test as log lift.
Which past strongman do you admire now & why?
Jouko Ahola. Succeeded despite not having the “x-men” genetics. The epitome of what hard work can achieve.
Which current strongman do you admire now & why?
Zydrunas and Pfister. Great longevity and both continue to get stronger.
How do you prepare yourself for major events?
Hard, well planned training. Lots of sleep and calories.

American football

Given your size, what’s the funniest thing that’s ever happened to you?
Getting stuck in the middle seat on airplanes.

Hawaii

GMC truck. I will probably always drive a truck

Having my son this year
