What does your training involve?
Lots of squats to 700 pounds and deadlifts and weightlifting.
What does your diet normally consist of?
Lunch Potatoes, Meat.
Dinner: Potatoes, Meat, Fish.
What made you want to become a strongman?
I won my first competiton and then I knew this was my sport.
How old were you when you started training and competing in strongman?
I was 15 years old when I started training and 20 years old when I started strongman.
What is your greatest strongman achievement?
European 2005 3rd and 2007 2nd place. Arnold Strongman 2007 3rd place.
How do you manage to balance work and training for strongman?
Morning is training and evening work.
What is the worst injury you have ever had?
Chest rupture same day as my son’s birthday.
What are your plans after your strongman career?
I want to have my own gym.
What has been your biggest disappointment whilst training as a strongman?
I do not have one. It is always hard and I like it.
What advice would you give to someone who wants to become a strongman?
This is not a sport where you can be afraid.
What is your favourite strongman event and why?
Farmers walk. I have strong hands like my father.
What is you least favourite strongman event and why?
Deadlift. Don’t know why.
How do you prepare yourself for major events?
Training hard – my body and my soul.
What is your favourite other sporting event? Football.
What do you do to relax? Do you have any hobbies?
I play at home with my son.
Do you have any nicknames? If so, whatæs the story behind your nickname.
The Rock. Ilkla Kimmerman gave it to me.
What would be your favourite type of holiday and destination?
Travel with my dad and relax there in a very nice place close to a river.

What car do you drive now and what car would you like to drive?
I have an Opel Zafira. I like Opel’s.
What personal achievement are you most proud of?
Arnold classic 3rd place with World Record in the Frame walk.
If you could saint a sports person who would it be?
Estonian champion in weightlifting 2006, 2007 and Estonian records in clean and jerk.
